11.11.11 Art, Music, Poetry, and Vendor Event

On the special occasion of November 11th, 2011, we will host an event that will bring together some of the best talent in the San Diego community. There will be 11 visual artists, 11 performers, and 11 vendors. This mingling of artistry on this magical night will prove to be one of the greatest art, music, and cultural events that San Diego has seen this side of the century.

11.11.11 Wishes

Making a wish when the clock hits 11:11 has been a trend seen around the world. On 11:11pm at the event, attends will be asked to stop and make their silent wish on this magical night. We are also taking wishes from everywhere and displaying them on the website and at the event on video. Click Here To See The Wishes.


One Wish

If we are able to make this event a reality, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Make A Wish Foundation. We hope to make real wishes come true for deserving children around the country.

Queen Bee's Art & Cultural Center is a multi-purpose venue centrally located in beautiful North Park San Diego.

Queen Bee's hosts everything from concerts to dance classes, art shows, open mic nights, special events, private parties and much more.

They feature the largest dance floor in the neighborhood (over 3,500 square feet) as well as one of the largest stages.

Here in San Diego, the art community can be quite segmented and distanced. The 11 artists participating in 11.11.11 represent almost every aspect of the emerging and established art movement in San Diego. 

Each artist has unique style and background creating a one of a kind blend of beauty. The visual artists will display 11 of their latest pieces. And if all goes well, each artist will have an installation at the event along side their art.

Why $11 Dollars?

This one of a kind show is a combination of two great things: an art show and a music/performance event. $5 is worth just the art that will be on display. Likewise, the talent level of the performers would be worth $5 alone. Bring these visual and auditory arts together, add a little magic with a dash of charity, and $11 dollars isn't much at all.

Finally, it's a 11/11/11 show...why wouldn't it be $11?

About 11.11.11

This event will be held on November 11th, 2011 from 8pm to 12pm.

We will charge a door fee and a percentage of the money made at the door will go to the Make A Wish foundation.

The 11 artists involved will be have their individual 11 pieces displayed at the event for patrons to enjoy. If we raise enough money, each artists will have a installation wall piece to paint and show at the event.

During the event, patrons will be entertained by 11 performers from San Diego's best and brightest talent. They are soundtrack to this magnificent event. These performers will include spoken word artists, musicians, and singers. These unique mix will create an unforgettable auditory experience.

About half through the event, a small fashion show will be commence to showcase the 11 designs from local fashion-etas. This will add beautiful jewelry, dresses, and models to beautiful music, expression, and art.

At 11:11pm, all the patrons of the event will be asked to come together and be silent. We will all make our silent wish and place into the ether. Maybe with enough magic being put in the air most of the wishes will come true. :)
